Charles A. Christofilis, Chief Compliance Officer
Charles A. Christofilis is the Chief Compliance Officer of First Republic Investment Management, Inc., a position he assumed in 2007.
As Chief Compliance Officer, Christofilis is responsible for ensuring that the firm is in compliance with SEC rules and regulations. Prior to joining First Republic he was the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Advanced Settlements. He previously served as the Director of Compliance for Principal Global Investors. Christofilis' background also includes serving as counsel and compliance officer at WestLB AG, associate general counsel for Curian Capital, chief compliance officer at Northern Trust Global Advisors and a vice president with Bear Stearns.
Christofilis received a J.D. (law degree) from Touro Law, an MBA in finance from the University of San Francisco and a bachelor's degree in management from Pace University in New York. He is an attorney admitted to the bars of New York and New Jersey and is a member of the American Bar Association. (He does not provide legal services on behalf of any of the member companies of First Republic). He holds an NASD Series 65 license (Investment Adviser Representative) and also has NASD Series 7, 63, 24 and 27 licenses. Christofilis is a member of the National Association of Compliance Professionals (NSCP).
